Saithan censored, to hit screens on Nov 17

Vijay Antony’s upcoming film Saithan has completed the censor process and was cleared with an U/A certificate. The movie will hit the screens on November 17.

The movie will be simultaneously hitting the screens in Telugu as Bethaludu. Remember Vijay Antony’s last venture Pichaikaran was a big hit in Tollywood.

“#SAITHAN  #BETHALUDU (  U/A 2:04 mins )  will be releasing on November 17th”, the music composer-turned-actor wrote on his Twitter page.

Directed by newcomer Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, Arundhathi Nair plays the female lead in the film while Charuhasan, Y Gee Mahendra, Aadukalam Murugadoss and Meera Krishnan will be seen playing pivotal roles.

At the audio launch of the movie in Chennai on Thursday,  Prasad who bagged the Telugu rights for Vijay Antony’s earler ventur ePichaikaran titled Bichagadu said that the movie fetched more than Rs 30 crore.

“I paid mere Rs 45 lakh for the dubbing rights and I got such huge returns. This is one of the biggest collections for a dubbed movie,” he said.

But unlike Pichaikkaran, Saithan will not have delayed release in Telugu and the makers are planning for simultaneous release in TN and AP/TG.

Vijay Antony will be seen playing a software engineer in Saithan, which is being presented by his wife Fathima Vijay Antony.
