Sai Pallavi’s sister to make acting debut

Pooja, the younger sister of Sai Pallavi of Premam fame, is getting ready to maker her acting debut. She is already part of a short film called Kaara and will sign films in Tamil and Malayalam, sources said.

Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is currently busy with a Telugu film. She was tipped to be the heroine of Mani Ratnam’s Karthi starrer Kaatru Veliyidai, but things did not materialise, it is to be noted.

Sai Pallavi is best known for her role as Malar in the 2015 Malayalam film Premam, which was her debut film. In 2016, she starred in Kali opposite Dulquer Salmaan.

She even entered the Telugu film industry with Shekhar kammula’s upcoming project Fida starring Varun Tej and herself in the lead roles.

A trained dancer, she participated in the dance reality show Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva on Vijay TV in 2008, and appeared on Dhee Ultimate Dance Show (D4) on ETV Telugu. She initially appeared in an uncredited role along Kangana Ranaut in Dhaam Dhoom.

A few years later, she was studying medicine in Tbilisi, Georgia when Alphonse Putharen offered her the role of Malar in his film Premam.

After the shooting was completed, she went back to her studies. In late 2015, she took a month’s leave to act in her second movie, Kali, which released in March 2016
