Sai Pallavi to play Sasikala in Jayalalithaa biopic? Director Vijay, who is getting ready to make a biopic on former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, is planning to rope in Bollywood actress Vidya Balan to play the lead role.
Also, he is said to be toying with the idea of having on board Sai Pallavi to play the role of Jayalalithaa’s close aide Sasikala.
Touted to be a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, the principal shoot of the film will begin very soon, says a source close to the team. The latest news is that director Lingusamy is also working on a biopic of Jayalalithaa and gathering necessary information with the support of TTV Dhinakaran.
Sai Pallavi was last seen in Dhanush starrer Maari 2, in which her performance as Anandi, a chirpy auto driver, won the admiration of the audience and critics.
She also recently hailed the National Award winning actor as a wonderful co-star and mentor.
“Though Dhanush sir is a National Award winner, he treated me equally on the sets. In romantic scenes, Dhanush sir would look so deep in your eyes and get into your soul that we feel it very real,” she told the media.
The Premam actress added: “Thank you, sir, for being a mentor and wonderful co-star. He sometimes motivated me so much that I myself don’t know that I’m capable of delivering a better performance.”
Expressing gratitude to director Balaji Mohan, she said, “After the wrap-up, felt that I should continuously work with the team as they were super fun to work with.”
