, #ForbesIndia30U30 listee says, “Today, I am most happy if women get courage and confidence simply because they are able to relate to me.”

Sai Pallavi is currently shooting for two Telugu films – Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story and Rana starrer Virata Parvam. The Tamil girl shot to fame with Malayalam movie Premam and then achieved stardom with Telugu blockbuster Fidaa.

Pallavi struck a chord with millennials not only with off-screen charisma but also with the roles that she played. In her Telugu superhit movie Fidaa which made her a star, she plays the role of a village girl torn between her love for an NRI and her need to stay on ground.

She is popularly known as Rowdy Baby where she showed off her impeccable dancing skills in Maari 2 alongside Dhanush. So much so, in the song choreographed by Prabhu Deva, she outshone her co-actor Dhanush.

Sai Pallavi, who refused to be part of a fairness cream commercial, said, “What am I going to do with the money I get from such an ad? I’ll go home and eat three chapatis or rice. I don’t have any other big needs. I see whether I can contribute to the happiness of people around me or I can say that the standards we have are wrong. This is the Indian colour. We can’t go to foreigners and ask them why they’re white, and if they know that they will get cancer because of it. That’s their skin colour and this is ours.”
