Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna honours 6 teachers

As part of Teacher’s Day celebrations, Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna honoured six teachers with ‘Best Teacher Award’ on September 5.

In all, it honoured three teachers, a headmaster and two vice principals. Rotary International District 3232 District Governor Nominee Ravi Raman gave away the citations, while RI District Vocational Service Chairman S.N. Balasubramanian handed over the trophies to the deserving teachers.

The Club’s Vocational Service Core Committee shortlisted six teachers after going through their profile and the extraordinary work done during the pandemic. 

The selected teachers are: Dr. T. UshaPriya, Vice Principal, Ethiraj College for Women, Princy Tom, Vice Principal, Vana Vani Matriculation Higher Secondary School, IIT-Madras Campus, S Raja, Headmaster, The Hindu School, Triplicane, K. Revathi, Sevalaya’sMahakaviBharathiyarHigher.Secondary School, M.Mariyammal, Sevalaya’sMahakaviBharathiyar Higher Secondary School and A N Geetha,Teacher Hindu Senior.Secondary School, Adyar. 

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Revathi vowed to continue her journey as a primary teacher. Sevalaya founder V. Muralidharan thanked RCMCP for honouring the teachers for their hard work.
