Rio Raj’s ‘Maddy’ Takes Off with Sivakarthikeyan’s First Clap
Rising star Rio Raj, fresh off the success of Aan Paavam Polladhadhu, has officially launched his next venture titled Maddy.
The film had a grand “pooja” ceremony in Chennai today, which saw a special appearance by Sivakarthikeyan, who signaled the start of filming by sounding the first clapboard.
Directed by B. Rajashekar, Maddy is touted to be a soulful romantic drama with a significant musical core.
The project reunites Rio with composer Siddhu Kumar, following their successful collaboration on the “Nee Illama” track.
Malavika Manoj, who shared great chemistry with Rio in his previous outing, has been roped in as the female lead once again. Produced by Raahul of Romeo Pictures, the film is aiming for a late 2026 release.
