Release plans of Vijay’s next and troubles faced by Bigil distributors

Vijay’s next project, the yet-to-be-titled flick with director Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram and Kaithi fame, is taking shape fast.

From today, the shoot of the movie will happen in New Delhi. According to reports, April 9, 2020 seems to be the date the makers are eyeing on.

Trade experts and fans believe that the date, which is a Thursday, is an ideal day for the film to hit screens as several holidays, including Tamil New Year follows the date.

Meanwhile, Bigil’s Kerala distributors Magic Frames and Prithviraj released the movie in more than 200 screens and broke the recently passed rules of the Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK), that other language films should not be played in more than 125 screens.

Following this, FEUOK has issued an official statement that Magic Frames and Prithviraj should pay a part of the share of Bigil for violating the rules passed by the representatives of the exhibitors’ union.

In the meantime, Andrea Jeremiah, who is known for picking quality roles, has been approached to play a significant role in Vijay-64. It is reported that Lokesh had met Andrea to narrate the script of Thalapathy 64 and the actress was impressed by it.

The film will see actors like Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Antony Varghese in key roles. Music director Anirudh Ravichander is handling the music direction for the film titled Thalapathy 64.
