Veteran actor and former Union Minister Napoleon recently revealed that he was not talking to Vijay and has also stopped watching his films.
When asked in a recent interview how he sees the growth of Vijay from Pokkiri days, Napoleon, who played a key role in the film, said: “I agreed to act in Pokkiri only for Prabhu Deva, who is a good friend of mine and not Vijay.”
The Ettupatti Rasa and Seema Raja actor said further: “I don’t speak to Vijay and stopped watching his films because I was humiliated by him at the shooting spot”.
These remarks triggered a controversy. It is learnt that Napoleon had gathered all his friends who wanted to see Vijay at the shooting spot of Pokkiri and when Vijay was resting at the caravan, he had a heated argument with the security of ther star.
On hearing the noise, Vijay who was said to be super tired, opened the door and enquired about the incident. Later, Vijay directly asked Napolean about the lack of manners, it is said.
Meanwhile, after acting in Devil’s Night: Dawn Of The Nain Rouge, Napoleon will be seen in another American independent film soon. Titled Christmas Coupon, the film is directed by independent filmmaker Daniel Knudsen.
Napoleon says that he acted in Devil’s Night… because the executive producer of the film, Tel K Ganesan, and he are both from Trichy, and are good friends. “Ganesh told me that making a film had been a dream of his for many years and wanted me to play a part. As the film required some extensive visual effects it is ready for release only now.”
