Vijay’s father S A Chandrasekhar was admitted to a hospital on Wednesday in Kerala. Initially, the popular director and producer was said to have met with an accident at a resort near Kumarakom and it was claimed he suffered injuries on his spine and head.
However, it is learnt that he only slipped and fell down and there is nothing to worry. “Nothing is critical. By god’s grace, there’s no fracture etc. He’s able to move his body parts, though there were a few injuries,” sources said.
The doctors have advised him a week’s rest and said that he is recovering well and there is no need for any concern, the sources added. It is learnt Vijay visited him at the hospital.
S A Chandrasekar is an Indian film director, producer and writer primarily works in Tamil films. Chandrasekhar made his directorial debut with Sattam Oru Iruttarai (1981) and went on to direct social themed films.
Chandrasekhar is from Thangachimadam in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. He is married to Shoba, a carnatic singer. Chandrasekar has directed over 70 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
Some of his hits include Vetri, Naan Sigappu Manithan, and Mutham. He also directed some Telugu movies such as Chattaniki Kallu Levu with Chiranjeevi.
