Rayane Mithun has showered praise on Sarathkumar and Radikaa for their performance in Vaanam Kottattum, which hit the screens on Friday last.
She said, “Success is falling down 10 times, no matter how far you fall, the 11th time you find your way back. Failure isn’t about the fall, it what you do after.”
According to Rayane, “these five year this man has seen the lowest of lows but that has only made him stronger. Seeing him in this movie made me all sort of emotional.”
She added: ” I just wanted to hug him and say I love you and I’m so proud of you. This is only the beginning Appa, it’s only onward and upwards!. Go watch the movie – it’s al sort of feels!”
Vaanam Kottattum is co-written and directed by Dhana Sekaran of Padaiveeran fame. The film stars Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles, with Sarathkumar and Raadhika portraying supporting roles.
The film is produced by Mani Ratnam for Madras Talkies, with the latter also credited for co-writing the film’s script. The film released on 7 February 2020.
Mani Ratnam finalised plans to produce a film for Madras Talkies by his assistant director Dhana Sekaran in late 2018. The story of the film was conceived by Mani Ratnam during a recce during the pre-production stages of O Kadhal Kanmani (2015). He had written a story based on the lives of real characters from Theni, which his assistant Dhana had recollected from his years growing up in the hill town.
