Rajinikanth back in Chennai

Superstar Rajinikanth on Sunday night returned to Chennai from the United States, where he was relaxing and taking rest for the past couple of months.

He was accompanied by his elder daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush. Fans, mostly passengers at the Chennai airport, became uncontrollable as they saw the Superstar. Security officials had a tough time to escort the ‘thalaivar’.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Kabali has grossed over Rs 40 crore at the Indian box office, beating Salman Khan starrer Bollywood drama Sultan to emerge as the highest grossing Indian film on the opening day, according to estimates by trade pundits.

In the meantime, Chennai-based Vasanth Paul, a Rajini fan, found a girl in trouble in an empty piece of land; but instead of ignoring it, he bravely went in to fight off three men and save the girl from being gangraped.

Paul wrote about the time when he was on his way back after catching the first day, first show of Kabali. To avoid the traffic, Paul had taken a more sparsely populated road, and stopped mid-way
