Rajini to take on Congress tomorrow?

Superstar Rajinikanth is expected to give a fitting reply to those who are criticising him for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over Kashmir issue, at a function in Chennai on Wednesday.

On August 14, an event is being organised to honour veteran script writer Kalaignanam, who helped Rajinikanth during his initial years. The function will be attended by Ministers, Rajinikanth and top personalities of Tamil film industry.

At the event, it is expected that Rajinikanth would clear the air on his views on Modi and Amit Shah, and would give reply those who slammed him for his recent comments, likening Modi-Shah to Lord Krishna-Arjuna.

On Monday, a day after Rajinikanth hailed the PM and Home Minister at a function organised to release the book titled ‘Listening, Learning and Leading’ which chronicles two years in office of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K S Alagiri urged the superstar to read Mahabharatham well.

“How can those who snatched away the rights of crores of people be Krishna and Arjuna? Dear Rajinikanth, kindly read the Mahabharata again. Read it properly,” Alagiri said in a statement.

Modi and Amit Shah are like Lord Krishna and Arjuna, said Rajinikanth in Chennai on Sunday.
Congratulating Shah on his ‘Mission Kashmir’ (revocation of Article 370 which conferred special status on Jammu and Kashmir), Rajinikanth termed it as a ‘fantastic’ move.

The actor said: “We don’t know who is Krishna and who is Arjuna. It is only they know (Modi and Shah).” He praised Naidu as a complete spiritual person who is interested in the welfare of people. Last week, the Centre ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir through a Presidential order and announced that the state would be split it into two union territories — Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
