Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently in Darjeeling shooting for his forthcoming film directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has said that he is elated about the success of Kaala.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “By God’s grace, Kaala is doing very well in India and overseas market. I am enjoying the scenic beauty of Darjeeling. I hope Karthik Subbaraj’s film explores the beauty of Darjeeling.”
He also said, “Thanks to the co-operation of Karnataka government, Kaala is doing good in the State”.
When asked to comment about Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, said “I am here as an actor and I don’t want to speak about politics or politicians”.
He said he would be camping in West Bengal for a month to complete the shoot and is expected to return to Chennai by August.
Rajinikanth said, “I am surprised there are so many beautiful locations here but it has not been explored. Through this picture (film), the whole country will know this place and everything and (everyone) will explore it”.
“I am really so happy to meet lovely people, good and kind hearted. I am here for 30 days,” Rajinikanth added.
Meanwhile, Bollywood singer Kailash Kher has recorded a song in Chennai with music composer AR Rahman for Rajini’s other upcoming film 2.0.
Kher posted: “Recorded a beautiful bird song. Composed by one and only @arrahman for movie #robot2 #chennai #panchathan #musictemple in another super talented #singer #lyricist #amitabhbhattacharya Jadugaro Ka Adda.”
