Rajini starts ‘Thalaivar 168’, big plans by fans for birthday

Tomorrow (December 12) is the birthday of superstar Rajinikanth. To mark the day, fans have planned grand celebrations with a purpose. They have organised functions to distribute welfare measures, health camps and blood donation camps.

Also, cinema halls in various parts of Tamil Nadu have lined up special shows of super hit films of the superstar, such as Baasha, Petta, Kabali and Chandramukhi.
Meanwhile today, the pooja of the actor’s upcoming film directed by Siva took place in Chennai today. Meena, Khushbu and D Imman among others were present. 

Rajinikanth has a huge fan-following and as we all know, his birthday is celebrated no less than a festival among his fans across the country. The Petta star will turn 69 on December 12 but has already started celebrating in advance.

As per his star sign, Rajinikanth’s birthday was celebrated in a traditional way at the Superstar’s residence in Chennai on December 2. A couple of photos from the ceremony are doing rounds on social media and fans are already excited to know what’s in the store this time as Rajinikanth will ring in his birthday officially on December 12.

Some photos from the pooja ceremony have surfaced on social media, showing the Petta star with several priests and his wife Lata. Besides performing the rituals, Rajini also posed with the guests at the pooja.

Meanwhile, at Saidapet Gangai Amman Temple recently fans of the ace actor gathered to pray for his long life and continue their 70-day celebrations for the Thailaiva’s 69th birthday. South Chennai West District Secretary Ravichandran participated in the arrangements to mark the superstar’s birthday celebration.

Members of the Rajini Makkal Mandram, a fan-based organisation of Rajnikanth organised special archanas (prayers) in the temple. They also distributed food and freebies with Rajinikanth stickers to fans and well-wishers of the star.

Rajinikanth’s Pongal release is Darbar, while he is gearing up to start shoot of his next film to be directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.
