Close on the heels of the news that superstar Rajinikanth’s Muthu would be re-released in Japan in 4K format with enhanced vision and sound, here is another news about a Tamil film crossing the borders.
Director Suseenthiran’s upcoming film Kennedy Club, which has Sasikumar in the lead role, will release big in China. the film’s Chinese theatrical rights have been procured by a local distribution house in China for Rs 2 crore.
Touted to be a sports-based entertainer on women’s Kabbadi, veteran director Bharathiraja also plays a pivotal role in the film.
Samuthirakani, Soori, Munishkanth, Meenakshi, Gayathri, Neethu, Sowmya, Smrithi and Soundarya play important roles this flick, produced by Thai Saravanan of Nallusamy Pictures.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has expressed confidence about the success of Muthu’s enhanced version in Japan. He said, “Namaskar, Muthu: Odoru Maharaja is a favorite film of many. I’m happy that Japanese people liked that film and I’m sure they will like the enhanced version of Muthu than the original.”
He added: “Glad that Kavithalayaa is initiating the re-release and AR Rahman has also re-worked on the songs and background score.”
In the meantime, superstar Rajinikanth’s magnum opus 2.0 is all set to release in record number of screens across the globe on November 29 in three languages—Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
