Superstar Rajinikanth, who was set to attend an event in Hyderabad to promote his upcoming film Kaala, has cancelled his visit due to the recent firing in Thoothukudi in which 13 persons were killed.
Meanwhile, in Chennai today, former MP and actor J K Ritheesh called on Rajini at the latter’s Poes Garden residence. He said he discussed Nadigar Sangam elections with the superstar.
In the meantime, reports suggest that the makers of Rajini’s upcoming film to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj are planning to kickstart the shoot from the first week of June.
If reports are anything to go by, the project is likely to go on the floors in Uttarakhand. To be made on a massive scale, the film is being produced by Sun Pictures and stars Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role.
Meanwhile, Twitter India has revealed that Rajinikanth’s Kaala has garnered over two million tweets and thus, it is one of the most talked about films on the platform.
Keya Madhvani, Head of Music & Lifestyle Partnerships posted “Over the past few years, the South Indian film industry has really grown on Twitter and emerged at the forefront of global conversations. Garnering over 2 Million Tweets even before the launch of the movie, #Kaala has already become one of the most talked about films on Twitter”.
