Radha Ravi joins BJP

Popular Tamil actor Radha Ravi today enrolled himself in the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP working president J P Nadda in Chennai.

Nadda reached Chennai today to take part in party events. Radha Ravi met him and joined in the party. He has vowed to spread the policies of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the people of Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, Radha Ravi was in parties like DMK and AIADMK, it may be recalled. He is also a former MLA and known for his fiery campaign and speeches.

Radha Ravi, who was suspended from the DMK in March in the wake of his remarks against actor Nayanthara, rejoined the AIADMK in June.

The actor called on AIADMK joint coordinator and chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami in Chennai and rejoined the party which he left in 2017.

Radha Ravi accused the DMK of interfering in the film association elections. “There are two power centres in the DMK, and I am not ready to name them,” he said.

He was elected from Saidapet constituency on the AIADMK ticket in the 2001 assembly elections. He joined the DMK on February 28, 2017 after the death of party chief J Jayalalithaa.
