Raavana Kottam movie review

Story:

People from two different communities reside at Melatheru and Keezhatheru of a village.

Though divided by community, they all live together as one. Prabhu and Ilavarasu as the respective village heads lead by example.

Meanwhile, a corporate company tries to loot the natural minerals from the village and in order to help them, political parties instigate a communal clash.

Shanthnu and Anandhi are used as the trump cards for the violence. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Vikram Sugumaran has made the movie based the communal clashes that took place in Mudhukulathoor.

First half of the movie is very predictable and cliched. The second half is gripping and keeps the audience engaged.

Shanthnu is impressive as the village youth. He is energetic throughout and shines in the action sequences.

Anandhi has done her part well, though there is not much scope for her character.

Prabhu and Ilavarasu have delivered a seasoned performance. Rest of the cast have also delivered what was expected from them.

Justin Prabhakaran’s music suits the theme of the movie well.

Rest of the technical aspects are passable.

Rating: 3.2/5
