Pushpa movie review

Story:

Allu Arjun is a daily labourer working with a group headed by Konda Reddy, Jali Reddy and Jakka Reddy. Their main job is smuggling red sanders.

Slowly Allu Arjun grows in ranks and becomes one of the partners of the business. Things were smooth until problem arises in the form of Sunil.

There is also a separate love track with Rashmika and a new threat Fahad Faasil.

Did Pushpa overcome this hurdle or not forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:
Directed by Sukumar, the story is a straightforward one and as the title suggests it is about the rise of the titular character. It is a template gangster drama with an additional smuggling background.

A lot of effort has been put in by Allu Arjun into the body language and dialogue delivery. The dialogues by Madhan Karky play a key role in taking the movie forward. Rashmika’s plays a typical commercial heroine.

She also delivers a fine performance in the character. Sunil stands out with his performance and stays in character throughout.

Fahadh Faasil has minimum role in the first part and we can hope to see more of him in the second installment.

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is among the major highlights of the movie. Cinematographer Gore’s topography has a fresh flavour.

Rating: 3.8/5
