Purva Windermere residents meet MLA for better roads

Based on a request from office-bearers of Purva Windermere Apartment Owners Association, Sholinganallur MLA Arvind Ramesh visited the area today and promised to fulfil their request for better roads.

The existing road connectivity from the Velachery main road to Windermere is very narrow, which often results in traffic congestion especially during peak hours.

During the recent visit by the Corporation Commissioner, who inspected the lake development, the association had requested a road extension from Bhavani Amman Koil Street to Velachery abutting the Periya Eri bunds for about 350 meters, which will save the 2 Kms drive to the main road.

The Commissioner was highly appreciative of the environmental friendly initiatives such as Rain Water harvesting, Waste Management Segregation, OWC, STP etc the community has launched, and was very eager to assist this road extension.

He had asked them to submit a petition for this extension, which was submitted immediately. Subsequently, it was felt necessary to approach MLA, Arvind Ramesh.

After the association submitted the petition on Friday, he immediately obliged to visit the site along-with some of the Corporation Officials today and he did it promptly.

He assured the residents to do the needful to fulfil their request for better road connectivity.
