Puneeth Rajkumar to be cremated next to his father’s resting place
Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, fondly called Appu by his fans, breathed his last after suffering a massive heart attack on October 29. He will be cremated with full state honours on October 31, Sunday. The cremation will happen at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Stadium in Nandini Layout. This is where Puneeth’s father and legendary actor Dr Rajkumar is buried.
Puneeth Rajkumar suffered a massive heart attack on October 29 and was rushed to Vikram Studios in Bengaluru. He was brought to the hospital in a non-responsive state. Despite taking extreme measures, Puneeth Rajkumar could not be resuscitated. He was declared dead at 2.30 pm.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai granted permission for Puneeth Rajkumar’s remains to be cremated next to his father’s resting place. The CM arrived at Kanteerava Stadium on Friday to pay his last respects to Puneeth Rajkumar.
Thousands of fans have been thronging to the Kanteerava Stadium to pay tribute to Puneeth Rajkumar.
