Providing Sanitary Napkin dispensing machines in All the Women Police Stations in Greater Chennai Corporation
Thiru. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, Commission of Police Greater Chennai Corporation inaugurated a facility to install Sanitary Napkins Dispensing Machines in all the Women Police Stations, Armed Reserve Facilities at Pudupet and St Thomas Mount as well as in all the 6 Women Mobile Toilet vans at a small program held at Raja Ratnam Stadium today the 9th April 2021.
Under the Rotary Action Group Menstrual Health and Hygiene initiative Rotary club of Chennai Thiruvanmiyur part of Rotary International District 3232, along with leading Corporates – CI Global Solutions, Flexco, Zoho group of companies, Bahwan Cybertech, Gofrugal pvt ltd, GSV Infra pvt ltd and Healthysoft pvt Ltd and NGO Geo Foundation India(who would be our operational partner) has launched this noble initiative of providing Freedom on Wings to the women when they Need. The Sanitary Napkin dispensing machines will be placed in the women toilets in all the Women Police Stations
Rtn. Sarada Ramani President of Rotary Club of Chennai Thiruvanmiyur said that this project was undertaken at a total cost of nearly Rs. 7.00 . The maintenance would be undertaken by GEO foundation. Prior to this project Rotary had also placed similar dispensing machines in all stations of Chennai Metro Rail network. Rotary club would be continuing to do similar projects in more such public places for the welfare of the women.
