Producer Gnanavelraja filed cheating compalint against Kamal Haasan

Popular producer Gnanavelraja of Studio Green has moved Tamil Film Producers Council to get back his Rs 10 crore from Kamal Haasan.

Gnanavelraja has alleged in his complaint that the actor-politician had borrowed Rs 10 crore during the financial tussle of Uthama Villain.

“At that time, Kamal had promised me that he would be acting and directing a film within a budget of Rs 40 crore (including the borrowed Rs 10 crore) for Studio Green,” he said.

Alleging that Kamal did not show any interest in commencing the proposed film, Gnanavelraja has now approached the Tamil Film Producers Council to get back his Rs 10 crore.

Gnanavelraja in his complaint has claimed that even after four years Kamal has not given call sheet for a film in his production or made efforts to refund the money due to him.

He has sought the help of the council to force Kamal to either act in a film or get back the money that is due.

J Satish Kumar who is spearheading TFPC says that he has received the complaint from Gnanavel and will soon look into the matter. What action the council will take against Kamal will be known soon.

Kamal, who is hosting Bigg Boss 3, is currently busy shooting for Shankar’s  Indian 2 and is also soon expected to kick start the shoot of his directorial film Thalaivan Irukkindran for Lyca Productions.
