Television anchor-turned-actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has said she would not vote for either Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan in general elections, though she is a fan of them.
In an interview, the Meyadha Maan and Kadai Kutty Singam actress said that politics and cinema are different, and that she wouldn’t vote for them just because they’re big stars.
“Just because two big icons have entered politics, we can’t blindly blindly bank on them. It is not a 2-hour-30-minute film,” she said further.
Priya added: “I like Kamal Sir and Rajini Sir. I will go to the first day first show of their films. But that doesn’t mean my political views will coincide with theirs.”
Recently, a photo posted on Instagram by Priya Bhavani Shankar, in which she was wearing little transparent dress, has not gone down well with the ‘moral police’.
With few slamming the actress for the outfit, she hit them back with a few posts. “Am surprised how people are trying to save culture by zooming in and out my picture,” she said.
A follower said: “Sutham had huge hopes for you… No more a dream girl.. Hoping it wont get any worse thou.”
To this, Priya replied: “Thank you very much but I don’t want to be a dream girl to a man of such filthy judgements. All the best to find another hopeful dream girl.”
