President Droupadi Murmu to visit Chennai tomorrow
President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit Chennai on September 2 and 3. She will attend a function at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, on the afternoon of September 2.
The President will stay at Raj Bhavan, Guindy, and will depart for Tiruchi by an IAF aircraft the next day.
In view of her visit, the Greater Chennai Police have declared several areas, including Chennai Airport, Chennai Trade Centre, Raj Bhavan, and the routes traversed by the VVIP, as ‘Red Zones’.
For security reasons, flying drones, remote-controlled aircraft, paragliders, hot-air balloons, and similar aerial devices is prohibited in these areas from August 23 to October 21, covering the dates of the President’s visit.
Authorities have urged citizens and drone operators to strictly comply with the restrictions to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the visit.
