Followers across Tamil Nadu expressed concern over the health of chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who was hospitalised Thursday night for ‘fever and dehydration’, and prayed for speed recovery of the CM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Jayalalithaa a speedy recovery. Modi said in a letter, “Dear Dr J Jayalalithaa ji, I wish you a speedy recovery,” and sent a bouquet of flowers wishing her a speedy recovery.
Thanking Modi, Ms Jayalalithaa said in a letter,”I thank you for the concern and good wishes you have expressed in the letter.”
In a tweet, DMK chief M Karunanidhi wished her a speedy recovery. DMK treasurer MK Stalin, Tamil Maanila Congress chief and former Union Minister GK Vasan, DMDK president Vijayakanth, MDMK supremo Vaiko, Congress national spokesperson Kushboo Sundar were among a host of others also wished her a speedy recovery.
A press release from Apollo Hospitals stated that Jayalalithaa was “stable and under observation”.
On Friday, the Apollo Hospitals in a press release said, the Chief Minister has no fever and she is taking her diet. It further added that she is under observation.
