Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude gets a Deepavali release date
Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is returning to the big screen this Diwali with his much-anticipated film Dude.
The makers have officially confirmed that the film will hit theatres on October 17, 2025, coinciding with the festive season.
Directed by Keerthiswaran in his directorial debut and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Dude is billed as a romantic action-comedy. The film stars Mamitha Baiju opposite Pradeep, with seasoned performers R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, and Rohini playing key roles.
Adding to the excitement, the makers have planned a pan-Indian release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
This wide rollout underlines the growing appeal of Pradeep Ranganathan beyond Tamil Nadu. Post-theatrical streaming rights have already been secured by Netflix, ensuring the film’s digital reach.
However, the announcement has sparked buzz in Kollywood circles as Dude shares its release date with Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), another Pradeep Ranganathan starrer also slated for October 17.
