Director Prabu Solomon has already finished shooting for two schedules of his upcoming film Kumki 2, a sequel to his earlier blockbuster Kumki, in Bangkok and Ottapalam, Kerala.
The director will begin the third and the final schedule from next week. He says, “In terms of storyline, there will be no connection to Kumki. Since, this story, too, revolves around elephants, we have retained the same name.”
He added: “Generally, the second part of any film will be the continuation from the first part but Kumki 2 has no connection to the original version other than elephants.”
“Kumki 2 is all about a small boy’s relationship with a baby elephant and how they grow together. We searched a lot of baby elephants and finalized one in Thailand,” he said further.
Newcomer Mathiazhagan will be playing the lead, the heroine is not yet finalised. Aditi Menon is in talks, but nothing is finalised yet.
The film also has RJ Balaji, Kolangal Thiruchelvam, Sreenatha, Suzzane and Akash in pivotal characters. The last schedule will also be progressing in the God’s own country.
