Por Thozhil movie review
Story:
Set in the 2010s, gruesome murders of young women rock Trichy.
As the police try to find out the patterns, they rope in Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan to follow up on the case.
While Sarath Kumar is short-tempered, he is excellent at his job.
Ashok Selvan, on the other hand, is scared of peeing in the dark and emotionally awkward.
Together, they try to crack the case and find out the criminal and his/her motive.
Was the duo succesful in nabbing the murderer forms the crux of the story.
Analysis:
Debutant director Vignesh Raja has maintained the suspense till the end which is one of the biggest strengths of this crime thriller.
The director manages to keep the audience hooked throughout and satisfies you with the final payoff.
Vignesh has packed the movie with layers of story and kept the story flowing.
Sarath Kumar, as the tough cop, is excellent in portraying his role.
He is a natural when it comes to such roles and delivered it in a convincing manner.
Ashok Selvan as a socially awkward and scared cop is perfect for the role.
Nikhil Vimal has delivered what was expected from her and makes her presence felt.
Camerawork by Kalaiselvan Sivaji is appreciable. Jakes Bejoy eleavted the film with his pulsating background score.
Rest of the technical aspects are passable as well.
