Popular director hits out at Vijay

Tamil film director Samy, popular for his controversial films like Uyir, Sindhu Samaveli and Mirugam, has come down heavily on actor Vijay.

In a video statement, Samy said Vijay is selfish and claimed that the actor used to clean his hands with sanitizer after every photo session with fans.

“Vijay gets remuneration in black so he should not talk about being honest in his life”, Samy said. He also said that Vijay should only concentrate on acting and stop acting in public life by making comments on needless things.

In his advice to Vijay, Samy stated: “One day your real color will be known to the general public and it would be an embarrassing moment for you so do concentrate on your acting just like Rajini sir.”

Vijay’s Bigil will be his first release of the year. The star was last seen on the big screens in Sarkar that released for Deepavali last year. With just a couple of weeks left for the film’s release, the makers put out the film’s trailer on Saturday.

Vijay is seen in two avatars in the film, one as a young man sporting a jersey with the name ‘Michael’ written on it, who later coaches the girls team, and the other as Rayappan, who seems to be a local don. Michael is also known as Bigil.

The trailer is packed with high-octane action sequences and some mass dialogues. There are visuals of romance between Vijay and Nayanthara, who appears to be playing a sportsperson too.
