Police enter Bigg Boss house, question Vanitha in kidnap case

A team of police from Telangana today conducted an inquiry with actress Vanitha Vijayakumar, a contestant in the ‘Bigg Boss 3’ reality television show, following a kidnap allegation by her former husband.

According to the reports, her ex-husband Anand Rajan filed a complaint with the Telangana police in February stating that Vanitha was not allowing him to meet their daughter. He had also filed a kidnap case against the former actress.

Now, the cops from Telangana have approached the Nazrethpet police station in Chennai in connection with the complaint filed by her ex-hubby. Reports say that she might also be arrested soon. It means the actress should bid goodbye to the Tamil reality show.

This is not the first time in the last couple of weeks that a Bigg Boss set has had a visit from the men in khaki. On June 21, cops entered the sets of Bigg Boss Marathi, hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar, to arrest housemate Abhijit Bichukale in connection to a cheque bounce case.

Meanwhile, reports and rumours have also emerged stating that actor Meera Mithun, who entered the house a few days later, might also be visited by the police for a different case.

Meera Mithun is facing allegations of cheating after a T Nagar resident Ranjitha, raised allegations that she owed her a sum of Rs 50,000 for conducting fashion shows in the city. According to reports, Teynampet police have issued summons to her to appear on 19 July.

Vanitha was married to Rajan, and had divorced by mutual consent in 2012, with Rajan being the custodial rights to their child.
