Plus two results released, pass percentage 91.03%

Today is the crucial day for the students who appeared for the Tamil Nadu Plus Two exam, for their results were released this morning.

The total pass percentage in the State is 91.03 per cent. While 93.64 per cent girls who appeared for the exam cleared it, 88.57 per cent boys scored pass marks.

The pass percentage of girls is 5.07 per cent more when compared to that of the boys. Students can check their result online on the official websites of the TNDGE.

Tirupur district came first in Tamil Nadu with 95.37 per cent pass percentage. Erode emerged second with 95.23 per cent and Perambalur stood third with 95.15 per cent.

This year, almost 9 lakh students appeared for the Plus Two exams. Out of the total number of candidates, nearly 5 lakh are girls and 4 lakh are boys. The exam were held from March 1 to March 19, 2019.

Last year, the overall pass percentage stood at 91.1 per cent. In the TN HSC 12th exam, 2018, girl students had fared better than the boys as 87.7 per cent boys passed while for the girls, it was 94.1 per cent.
