Petrol bomb attack on BJP functionary’s house in Coimbatore, Tamilisai slams miscreants

Miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the residence of a BJP functionary in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu early on Wednesday, damaging a car.

The petrol bomb was hurled today at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C R Nandakumar’s residence at Coimbatore. The incident took place at around 3 AM early on Wednesday morning while BJP district secretary was asleep at his home.

It was not the ‘Ram Rajya Ratha Yatra’ that disturbed the law and order in the State but the opposition to it and petrol bomb attack on BJP and Hindu establishments, charged BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan in Coimbatore on Wednesday.

Calling attack on Nandhakumar’s house as a “murderous attack,” she loathed that no political party leader would condemn such attacks and instead behave as if the BJP cadre were in politics to only get attack.

“Strictly condemn cowardly attack on the residence of Coimbatore Ma Nagar BJP District President Thiru. Nandakumar,” she said in a tweet.

She added: “Such violent activities will not be tolerated & culprits need to be arrested immediately.”

Tamilisai Soundararajan told newspersons that Ram Rajya Rath Yatra passed peacefully in other States and no ruckus was created in those states.
