PERFORMING IN EVERY GAME AS A TEAM IS CRUCIAL, THAT’S WHAT WE’RE FOCUSING ON: PRASIDH KRISHNA ON GUJARAT TITANS’ RACE TO THE PLAY-OFFS
Speaking on JioHotstar Press Room for the Race to Play-offs, current purple cap holder and Gujarat Titans’ bowler, Prasidh Krishna shared insights on personal focus areas, and his team’s strategy to secure a spot in the TATA IPL 2025 play-offs.
Speaking exclusively on JioHotstar Press Room, Gujarat Titans’ seamer Prasidh Krishna reflected on his early season struggles and emphasised the importance of focusing on basics and better execution:
“Wickets are just part of the game. Bowling well is important. In the first match, our plans were right, but we missed execution slightly. We focused on getting back to basics, working on our skills, and returning to execute them better.”
Prasidh also credited better planning and guidance from Ashish Nehra for helping him stay confident and focused:
“I didn’t do anything different — the preparation was better. I was clear about what I needed to work on, put in the hours, and had the right conversations with Ashish Nehra. One key thing I’ve learned from him is reading the conditions and making smart decisions at the top of your run-up. That builds confidence, and when you’re confident, you just want to play more games and contribute to your team’s success.”
Prasidh shed light on the importance of consistency and staying grounded as Gujarat Titans looks to secure a place in the TATA IPL 2025 play-offs:
“Performing in every game as a team is crucial, and that’s exactly what we’re focusing on. No matter how many wins you have, momentum can shift with one match. We’re staying humble, working hard, and preparing thoroughly for every game.”
Speaking about how Gujarat Titans can maintain their top-two position, Prasidh highlighted the need to be consistent in team performance:
“We need to keep enjoying the cricket we’re playing, take responsibility, make smart decisions on the ground, and keep working harder. That’s been our motto, and we’ll continue it through the season.”
Prasidh also spoke about the improved performance of bowlers in TATA IPL 2025, praising their hard work and resilience:
“Bowlers have worked hard, and despite higher totals last season, everyone has prepared well this time. I’m happy to see the bowlers having the upper hand, with totals not as high. We’re halfway through, and anything can happen in the second half. Credit goes to everyone for ensuring bowlers are making an impact.”
