Analysis:

Director Obeli N Krishna has made a few changes to the original script to suit the nativity. His fast paced screenplay and narration is one of the biggest strengths of the movie.

The way in which the director unfolds the life of Silambarasan is very interesting. The first half is fast paced, while the second half has some lagging portions.

Silambarasan is the heart and sould of the movie. His body language as the gangstar, dialogue deliveries are all top notch. He shines in the action sequences especially during the climax.

Gautham Karthik has delivered a subtle yet strong performance. He has minimal dialogues and his expressions does most of the talking.

Rest of the cast including Gautham Vasudev Menon and Priya Bhavani Shankar have all done their part well.

AR Rahman’s background score is pulsating, especially the climax portions. Cinematography by Farook J. Basha is impressive.

Rating: 3.6/5
