The duo then team up to steal a 1000 year old statue which was left behind by Amitash’s former boss.

Were they successful in stealing the sculpture, what happens to Amitash forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Directed by C Aravind Raj, the film travels in the first half by introducing us to the characters and showing us how the idol abduction racket works out, and then moves into the path where the two lead characters travel together.

From the interval block onwards, the film moves at a very good pace and keeps us engaged with interesting reveals and twists from time to time.

The writing is fresh and the plot around idol smuggling is different from those that we have seen so far.

Casting is one of the biggest strengths of the movie. Sarathkumar is terrific as the ruthless, moeny-hungry cop. He is menacing and aces in the role.

Amitash as the scapegoat has got into the skin of the character and has delivered a believable performance. This role and his performance in it are bound to do a world of good for his career.

Kashmira Pardeshi as Amitash’s love interest has done her part well. She delivers a fine performance.

Rest of the cast including Balaji Skathivel and Gajaraj have delivered what was expected form them.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music elevates the music is an effective manner.

Rest of the technical aspects are good.

Rating: 3.3/5
