‘Pallichattambi’ Wraps Up; Set for Theatrical Release on April 9

The shooting of Pallichattambi, directed by Dijo Jose Antony with Tovino Thomas in the lead role, has been completed. Director Dijo announced the wrap-up of the film through his Instagram page.

Dijo Jose Antony made his directorial debut in 2018 with Queen, followed by the Blockbuster Jana Gana Mana. He later directed Malayalee From India. Known for blending strong social themes with engaging mainstream storytelling, Dijo has carved a distinct space for himself in contemporary Malayalam cinema. Pallichattambi is the biggest film of Dijo’s career so far and also marks his first-ever period film, showcasing his ambition to explore new genres and cinematic scales.

Screenwriter S. Suresh Babu, whose talent was widely recognized with just one film-Mohanlal’s Shikkar-has penned the script for Pallichattambi. His rich cinematic journey includes writing scripts for superstars like Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Jayaram, as well as new-generation actors such as Shine Tom Chacko, Soubin Shahir, and Vinayakan.

Music for the film is composed by Jakes Bejoy, who has consistently delivered hit films and chart-topping songs. Audiences are eagerly expecting another successful album from Jakes Bejoy through Pallichattambi.

Pallichattambi is a period film where costume design plays a crucial role. The costumes are designed by Manjusha Radhakrishnan, a recipient of the Kerala State Film Award.
The film is edited by Sreejith Sarang, known for editing acclaimed films across multiple languages, while cinematography is handled by Tijo Tomy.

Pallichattambi is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9. The film is produced by Noufal and Brijesh under the banner of Worldwide Films, along with Chanakya Chaitanya Charan under C Qube Bros Entertainment. Tovino Thomas will be seen in a never-before-seen look in the film, which will be released in five languages, including Malayalam.
