Padma Shri Actor Jayaram Inaugurates Sabari Artisans Village in Chennai
Padma Shri awardee and renowned actor Jayaram inaugurated Sabari Artisans Village, a new destination in Chennai showcasing India’s rich heritage of handicrafts, traditional arts and distinctive artisanal products.
Designed as a one-stop destination for Indian craftsmanship, Sabari Artisans Village brings together a curated range of artisanal products from across the country, offering consumers an opportunity to discover and celebrate India’s diverse artistic traditions.
The initiative also reflects the social commitment of the Sabari Charitable Trust, the philanthropic arm of the Sabari Group led by Chairman Mr. Shashi Kumar. Established in 1996, the Trust operates five schools in Palakkad, Kerala, providing free education to more than 6,000 children.
Through Sabari Artisans Village, the Trust aims to combine the promotion of Indian craftsmanship with its continued commitment to making education accessible and creating a positive social impact.
