Pachaiyappa’s and Presidency students clash inside moving train

Some city college students were hospitalised and a few others injured when they were assaulted by a group of knife-wielding students of another college on an EMU train at Nemilichery railway station on Tuesday evening.

The gang-wars between students of Pachaiyappa’s College and Presidency College showed its ugly head again on Tuesday afternoon in Chennai after violence between them left 11 people including a 19-year-old bystander injured.

During the fight that happened when the train was between Nimilichery and Thiruninravur, Ajith Kumar, 19, a contract employee at Integral Coach Factory and a resident of Kadambathur, was caught in between and sustained a knife injury.
