Outgoing Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah joins Congress’ top decision-making body

Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has been appointed to the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party’s highest policy-making body, shortly before the swearing-in of D.K. Shivakumar as Karnataka’s Chief Minister.
The appointment was announced by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge through the party’s organisational leadership.
Siddaramaiah’s inclusion is viewed as recognition of his long-standing contribution to the party and his influence among key voter groups in Karnataka.
With his induction, he joins the core leadership team responsible for shaping the party’s national strategy and organisational decisions. Other leaders from Karnataka also continue to hold positions within the committee structure.
