Nursery and primary schools not to reopen in TN

Tamilnadu government has announced that primary and nursery schools will not be opened anytime soon.

A government order said that schools will be reopened for students from classes 1 to 8 from 1 November.

Earlier, the state government had announced that playschools, nursery schools (LKG and UKG) and anganwadi centres would be allowed to conduct physical classes from November 1.

However, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said,”We have discussed the issue with the chief minister M K Stalin. We have prepared safety measures and standard operating procedures to reopen schools from classes I to VIII on November 1. We do not want to reopen for KG classes along with classes I to VIII.”
