School Education Minister K Pandiarajan has said that a new syllabus for Higher Secondary level (standard 11 and 12 ) was ready and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa needs to take a look at it and approve the same.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, the Minister said that the new syllabus for standards 11 and 12 in Tamilnadu may soon come into existence in the near future but it needed the Chief Minister’s approval.
Addressing the inaugural of a joint seminar organised by the School Education Department and the Academy of Korean Studies, Republic of Korea, he said, “While we have a partnership with the U.K. where students are sent for college education, we hope to forge a similar one with Korea, where students are given a chance to go to Seoul University.”
He added: “As for school students, we want children from the age of 13 to 16 to be able to work on cyber projects with school students of the same age in the Republic of Korea.”
Meanwhile, the social media was abuzz with a buzz that ‘Jayalalithaa is getting discharged from Apollo Hospitals in a week’ after a senior of the IT wing of the AIADMK quoted UK expert Dr Richard Beale as saying this in his tweet.
