NDA VP candidate C P Radhakrishnan to meet MPs in Chennai

NDA’s Vice-Presidential candidate and Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to arrive in Chennai next week to meet with Members of Parliament (MPs) from Tamil Nadu.
The meeting is part of his campaign to secure support from a broad spectrum of political parties in his home state.
Radhakrishnan, a veteran BJP leader from Tamil Nadu, is a surprise candidate for the NDA. His nomination has created a complex political dynamic in the state, with local parties urging DMK and its allies to support a “son of the soil” for the prestigious post, despite their strong opposition to the BJP.
Radhakrishnan’s visit is seen as a strategic move to capitalize on this sentiment and showcase his support base in Tamil Nadu.
While the NDA holds a clear numerical advantage in the electoral college, this meeting is aimed at building a consensus and showcasing political unity ahead of the vote.
