NDA meeting in Madurai on 28 Feb, PM Modi to participate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu on February 28 to address a major public rally in Madurai, party leaders have announced.

The event, being organised as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) campaign ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, is expected to be a significant political moment for the coalition.

State BJP officials said arrangements are underway for the large-scale public meeting where the Prime Minister will speak alongside senior leaders including Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, and T.T.V. Dhinakaran.

The rally is being positioned as a show of strength by the NDA, with party organisers asserting that public sentiment favours the alliance’s prospects.

The visit comes amid assertive campaigning as election season intensifies, with political parties across Tamil Nadu gearing up for high-visibility roadshows and public meetings.

BJP leaders have also linked the rally to broader development narratives and alliances with regional partners, aiming to expand their footprint in the state’s political landscape.
