National Commission for Protection of Child Rights member Dr R G Anand has toured 103 districts in 19 States in the last one year to ensure the protection of children.
Anand, who has completed two years as member of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, has said more than 4400 complaints have been addressed in the last one year.
Releasing a report on his work, he said the second report will soon be released on the Commission’s website. “#NCPCR Hon’ble Chairman & #AbleLeader Shri. #PriyankKanoongo has launched my #SecondYearReport today in New Delhi. Recently, NCPCR took suo motu cognisance of three sexual assault incidents against minor girls across the State and a team headed by Anand has commenced an investigation.
The offences were reported in Thoothukudi, Mayiladuthurai and Gandarvakottai in Pudukkottai, it said. In a statement, Anand said there was an increase in such incidents in various districts, causing panic among children and the public. He assured that the Commission would ensure that those affected get justice.
