In a latest development in the Bollywood drug racket case, Rakul Preet Singh’s home in Mumbai has reportedly been raided by NCB sleuths.
Narcotics Control Bureau has summoned actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning in drug probe linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Deepika and Sara, who were in Goa, returned to Mumbai on Thursday for the probe.
While Deepika, Sara and Shraddha are called in on September 26 (Saturday), Rakul Preet Singh, who earlier denied receiving summons, will appear before the NCB today (September 25).
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday debunked actor Rakul Preet Singh’s claims revealing that due summons had been issued to the actor digitally as well. This comes shortly after Rakul’s team claimed that she had not received the “alleged summons” in either Mumbai or Hyderabad so far.
Busting her claims, NCB’s officer KPS Malhotra called out the actor, accusing her of trying to ‘mislead’ the agency through her ‘excuses.’ “Her summons was issued and she was contacted through various platforms including the phone where she was not available. There has been no response so far from her,” said KPS Malhotra to Republic TV.
Bombay High Court on Thursday adjourned hearing in bail pleas of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik till September 29. Rhea’s judicial custody was extended for another two weeks and the actress will be in jail till October 6.
