Nayanthara’s upcoming Tamil thriller Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, which will be directed by Chakri Toleti, is reportedly based on Mike Flanagan’s English invasion thriller, Hush.
Though not an official remake, the plot loosely revolves around it. Hush deals with the story of a differently-abled author, who fights to complete the novel when she falls prey to a psycho-killer.
“She might not be playing an author but she will reprise the same character from the original. In fact, the first poster of the film, which features Nayanthara with a hand covering her mouth, symbolically indicates that she plays a mute character,” sources said.
As of now, the only confirmed news is the film will have some challenging stunt sequences and Nayanthara was the only choice the director had in mind.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose the music. He will co-produce the film with Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh.
Interestingly, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was the title of one of the famous novels written by the legendary Sujatha Rangarajan.
