Mysskin’s fight with Censor over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Psycho

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s upcoming film will be Psycho and it is directed by Mysskin. The movie casts Nithya Menen and Adithi Rao Hydari as the heroines.

The latest buzz about the movie is that Mysskin has approached revising committee of CBFC after the Censor Board offiicals objected to the use of the word ‘psycho’ in the title, and had asked the filmmaker to change it.

According to reports, after several rounds of debates and discussion, the committee has approved the request. While the same has been communicated to the makers, an official communication regarding the same is awaited.

The film is produced by Double Meaning Productions and the cinematography of the film is handled by P.C. Sreeram. Maestro Ilayaraja’s music is one of the main highlights of the movie. The first single from the movie ‘Unna Nenachu’ is Sid Sriram’s very first collaboration with the Maestro.

The song is a melody with lyrics by Kabilan. The video has visuals from the film in which Udhayanidhi, who is seen wearing dark shades, poses with a guitar in hand. He seems to be performing for a small group in the song’s visuals.

Meanwhile, Vishal and Mysskin have joined hands for the second time for Thupparivaalan sequel, an investigative drama with Sherlock Holmes style of narrative. In the film, Vishal plays a detective and his character called Kaniyan Poogundran has been modeled after Sherlock Holmes.

The shooting of the 45-day first schedule is currently underway in London. If the ongoing buzz is anything to go by, director Mysskin will be seen in an extended cameo.
