A day after the release of the first single from Sarkar, the film’s director A R Murugadoss celebrated his birthday today on the movie’s sets.
A cake was cut in the presence of Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and other members of the Sarkar team.
Vijay wished Murugadoss warmly. Other members of Sarkar team too greeted him. Meanwhile, the Simtangaran single composed by A R Rahman has evoked mixed reactions.
Going by the lyrics, Simtaangaran is not the intro number of Vijay but Sun Pictures released it thinking that the ‘Madras Slang’ in the song will work big time with the fans but many of them are now complaining that they are unable to understand the language.
It is worth mentioning that Mersal composed by Rahman registered a record 350 million streams and hence, fans have huge expectations for Sarkar album but the first single itself has disappointed them.
Talking about Vijay’s character in the movie, veteran actor Radha Ravi who plays an important character in Sarkar, said, “Vijay’s role in Sarkar is like the fictional character Zorro. Like Zorro, Vijay will be a representative of the people in Sarkar.”
The veteran actor told a leading entertainment portal recently: “AR Murugadoss has done a fantastic job with the script. The film is high on heroism.”
Audio launch of the film is planned to happen in a grand scale on October 2.
