Bharatiya Janata Part National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao today refuted media reports which claimed that he has sent a report to the party’s national president Amit Shah against BJP Tamil Nadu unit chief Tamilisai Soundararajan.
“The news appearing in a section of media that there would be a change in the Tamil Nadu BJP President following my report to Sri Amit Shah is absolutely baseless, far from truth and mischievous,” he said in a tweet.
A couple of years ago too, Muralidhar Rao sought to dispel speculation about Tamilisais continuation as the party’s state unit chief.
“There is a communication from the national leadership on her continuation as BJP state president. Her fresh term has begun,“ Muralidhar Rao had said.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is super busy, as its top bosses are set to visit the State soon.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an official visit to Tamilnadu to lay the foundation stone for the proposed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Madurai, BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Chennai 9 July, to review the party’s growth in Tamilnadu and its prospects in the State for the Lok Sabha elections.
